Southern California Wildfires

Eagle River Firefighters recently returned from a deployment to Southern California to help combat the raging wildfires. At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, our District sent a structural protection engine and crew of four personnel who served to assist fixed winged and helicopter fire attack aircraft. The 14 day deployment was paid for by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, who reimburses the District for its costs, for both firefighter salaries and equipment.
